me-at-barolo

Hi there! I’m Matt

I'm a London based Product Design leader with a love for solving complex problems, enabling teams, and occasionally getting lost in the best Barolo vintages.

I originally studied Visual Culture at Falmouth University, fanning the flames in my interests around human connections to art, design and the ongoing struggle between form and function. My career kicked off at Dennis Publishing, where I first got my hands dirty with digital design, and from there, I progressed through agencies, fintech, B2B Saas products and eventually landed at Zoopla UK, shaping products in a complex property market problem space.

My leadership approach? Humility first. I believe great design happens when people are empowered, not micromanaged. My job is to align design vision with business objectives, making sure that user-centric thinking isn’t just a buzzword but an actual driving force behind decision-making. Recently, I completed a leadership course with the Institute of Leadership, so now I can officially say I know what I’m talking about!

Outside of work, I’m either noodling on a guitar, tinkering with synthesisers (frustrated musician at heart!), or hunting down a new favorite Italian wine - if it’s from Piemonte, even better.

Let’s chat about design, music, or Barolo. Preferably all three.
